Pat Fuqua
Each month we will feature someone who uses the library on a regular basis and is a good library user. This month's patron is Pat Fuqua.
Pat Fuqua was nominated as patron of the month by Sandy Carver, Breckinridge County Public Library Cloverport Branch Assistant. Pat lives near Balltown with her husband, Paul. She has two children, Jazz Page of Delaware, Cory Murphree of Hardinsburg, and her two furry kids, Catten and Babygirl at home.
She is employed as the Family Resource Youth Service Center coordinator for Cloverport Schools and has enjoyed all the services that the Cloverport Public Library has to offer. "I did not realize until I met Ms. Sandy that the public library offered so much...movies, Internet and of course, my favorite thing-books!"
My favorite authors are James Patterson and Debbie Macomber. Can't wait for the next Patterson to go on the shelf!
"I coordinate the summer recreation program here at CISD and could not do it without all of the assistance from Ms. Sandy and the library. We work together on the program for months before it starts as each summer has a theme. We plan time each day during recreation to utilize all the library has to offer. Some days we watch a movie from the wide selection that the library has, we play board games which Ms. Sandy keeps for us, we have guest speakers, and best of all the students in attendance look forward to the special program each Friday that goes along with the summer reading program. Ms. Sandy always has a great craft idea of project for them to do."
The library has also been a great asset to my program as Ms. Sandy and I work together to host a family movie night each month. Admission is free, it's always a new release and we have snacks and a craft item for each student to take home and do with their parents. It has been a wonderful partnership for both of us.
"f you are not utilizing your local library branch, I strongly urge you to. There are so many great opportunities there and the price is great...FREE!"
